NEXXUS LIGHTING HIRES MARK MASTERMAN AND STEVE GASPERSON TO LEAD POOL AND SPA LIGHTING DIVISION
Charlotte, North Carolina: Nexxus Lighting, Inc. (NASDAQ: NEXS) today announced the hiring of Mark Masterman as its new Vice President for the Pool & Spa division and Steve Gasperson as its Director of Sales for the Pool & Spa Division. Nexxus Lighting, Inc. is a world leader in advanced lighting technology including solid-state LED and fiber optic lighting systems and controls used in commercial, architectural, signage, swimming pool and retail lighting sold under the SAVI™, SUPER VISION® and OASIS™ brands.
Prior to joining the Nexxus Lighting team, Mr. Masterman and Mr. Gasperson served as General Manager and National Sales Manager respectively for the pool and spa division of Energy Focus Inc., formerly Fiberstars.
Mr. Masterman is a 34 year veteran of the pool and spa industry and has been directly involved in developing innovative products and systems including LED lit water features and wireless pool control systems. He joined Fiberstars in 1996 after founding and selling a number of companies including Sweetwater Spas, Vector Aqua Tech and US Spas. He was also instrumental in the design and development of control systems as Vice President at Ramco Manufacturing.
Mr. Gasperson has over 20 years of pool and spa industry experience. He began his career with Blackthorne Pool & Spas, and then served as West Coast Sales Manager for Jacuzzi Bothers and National Sales Manager for Vita Spas prior to joining Fiberstars in 1999.
