Nexxus Lighting Announces Key Management Team Additions and Promotion

Charlotte, NC – Aug 25, 2008 – Nexxus Lighting, Inc. (NASDAQ Capital Market: NEXS) today announced that Mark Masterman has been promoted to Division President, Nexxus Lighting Pool and Spas, Bill Blackley has joined the company as Director of International Sales and Michael Quails has joined the company as General Manager of our SV Lighting division.  The promotion and new hires reflect the company’s commitment to building and maintaining a strong and dynamic management team as we execute our growth strategy.

Mr. Masterman has overseen the Nexxus Lighting Pool and Spa division over the past year and under his leadership the division has seen its sales increase 26% in the first half of 2008 as compared to the first half of 2007 in a very difficult market.  In his expanded role, Mr. Masterman will be able to provide enhanced operational oversight for our Pool and Spa division, its products and services. Prior to joining Nexxus, Mr. Masterman served as General Manager for the pool and spa division of Energy Focus, Inc., formerly Fiberstars, from 1996 to 2007.  Prior to joining Energy Focus, Inc., Mr. Masterman founded and sold a number of companies and with over 35 years experience in the pool and spa industry, he has been responsible for overseeing the development of numerous innovative products and he will continue to focus on pool and spa market growth for Nexxus Lighting.
Mr. Blackley joins Nexxus Lighting as Director of International Sales and brings over 20 years of lighting and electrical industry experience.  Mr. Blackley is LC certified by the National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions (NCQLP).  He has held various international sales and marketing positions working out of Europe, Asia and the United States. Mr. Blackley most recently held positions with Holophane (Acuity Brands Lighting) in national account management and as director of indoor products.
Mr. Quails joins Nexxus Lighting as General Manager of its SV Lighting division.  He will be responsible for the company’s Savi® and Super Vision® brands, and brings to Nexxus over 10 years of operations experience with both Faro Technologies and Hughes/HD Supply.  Mr. Quails is a U.S. Army Gulf War veteran and most recently served as Senior Operations Manager for HD Supply in Orlando.
